I have been persuaded a few times for example i wasnt going to go out one night but my friend persuaded me to come out, iv been persuaded to but a dress that i didnt think looked very nice but my freinds said that it looked really nice and i had to buy it!
I have recently been to a meeting about fairtrade, i wasnt very aware of what fairtrade was and what it did to help the farmers and people living in the differnet countries. This meeting has persuaded me to buy fairtrade foods because it does halp all these people that liov and work in third world countries.

I think that South Notts should start saving energy by turning lights off in class rooms when they are empty. I also think that they could start recycling more for example having more recycling bins around the college. I think that the college should turnss the computers off if nobody is using them. I think that the college could and should reduce its carbon footprint by making a rule that if people live in a certain area range of the college they should work to college or take public transport and not drive in their car as this will reduce carbon emmisions.

I chose the article ”climate change is natural” because this appeals to me because i think that the change in the climate is natural. I agree with this article and think that it would influence others as it says straight at the begining that there is “no real scientific proof ” that the current warming is caused by the rise of greenhouse gases from man’s activity. The article also says that throughout human history constitute less than 0.00022 percent of the total naturally emitted from the mantle of the earth during geological history…. This is not alot at all so i think it is pretty influancial.

I sometimes read the papers and i also watch the news everyday because i like to see what is happening around the world. I read the evening post alot as it lets me know the news that has happened locally i like it as it has lots of different stories and articles. I dislike all the adverts which are put in this paper so i would improve it by having less adverts!

I think the first video was good because it shows you the affect of what global warming could have on the planet and what stages we are at and how we could reduce this affect, but i thought the second video was better because this shows the aspect of global warming from a different point of view which i think i agree with more.

Hello my name is Laura and im 18 years old. At college im studying a BTEC National Diploma in Travel and Tourism.
I enjoy studying long-haul destinations as is all about all the places i want to visit when im older such as Thailand, Australia and Canada. I am a HUGE Nottingham panthers ice hockey fan and I enjoy going to home games and travelling to away games as it lets me see alot of the UK as we travel to Edinburgh, Cardiff, Newcastle and Belfast. I also enjoy travelling in general wether it be going camping in the UK or going on holidays abroad. Another hobbie of mine is going out clubbing and socializing with my friends.
There are lots of global issues I care about, there is the war in iraq, deforestation and the extinction of animals and wildlife which i find very upsetting.
The reason im doing this course is because I love travelling and wanted to do a course which lets me travel to lots of places around the UK and also abroad, I also wanted to do this course because it means that I will be able to get a job in the Travel and Tourism industry.
Over christmas I went clubbing with my friends alot, I also stayed in a cottage at castleton and nearly got snowed in there, I had many snow days with my friend where we had snowball fights, made snowmen and went sledging
