South Nottingham College should go green! By trying to cut thier use of enery by 10 percent every year, this will have huge possitive impacts on helping to reduce the amount of enery being used.
1,300 schools have already become part of this campaign and we need to try and boost this futher. South Nottingham College can then raise awareness and hopefully encourage other colleges and schools in the area to join too.
By trying to ensure that students and teachers take up more walking and reduce their useage of their cars at lunch times and getting to and from work, this will really help in reducing the amount of carbon dioxide going into the atmosphere. Other alternatives can be travelling by bus or cycling to work/college.
In the UK on average one person is responsible for 10 tones of Co2 a year, so with this campaign this will reduce these figures more and more each year.
Who should you send your group or blog to? Sending this information to the principal of the college will raise awareness and hopefully this will result in these changes being made.
How do you get their details? Check on the colleges internet website. Then explain why you want to do the campaign, what benefits this will have on the college and the environment.
