I cannot think of a time that someone last persuaded me to change my mind on buying something, although I would now buy fairtrade

coffee if I did actually drink coffee.

I think that if the college wants us to do these people and planet qualifications then they should at least have fairtrade college hoodies and sports clothing .

If the fairtrade clothes actually looked nice and had a bit of variety then more people would actually buy them.

The global issues that I feel strongly about, are homelessness, especially thosein New Orleans who are still homeless after Hurricane Katrina, I do not think that they received the help that they should have done. Even homelessness in the UK is bad, as there just isn’t enough money being put into it as is needed. I found myself homeless when I was 17, and the supposed help that I received was appalling, I was simply past on from organisation to organisation, and felt as though my case was not even taken seriously. It is easy to see why many young teens who have housing turn to things such as shoplifting, drugs and worse, because there just aren’t the resources out there to help.
